Hello Everyone!
Sorry it has taken so long to write an update about our project. But like the title of this blog, this will be the last entry. So what has the team been up to? We created an image! We were able to show that using our system we can make an image and be able to detect muscle movement!
This image shows two pieces of chicken, one is 1.5 mm and the other is 2 mm which is the thickness and depth of the chicken in the forearm
We also met the inspiration behind this whole project, Dr. Paul Gammel. He has been using Time Delay Spectrometry for acoustics. We have been using this signaling technique for imaging.
Lastly, we presented our project to the VSE Symposium on April 18th, 2016. We were selected as one of two groups to present on April 28th at 3:00pm in front of the Engineering Advisory board at George Mason University and awarded outstanding project award which came with a $550 cash prize.
We want to thank our mentors Drs. Sikdar, Chitnis, and Bray for their guidance and support of this project. The Bioengineering Department, our friends and family. We couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you and…
